"Amps" is a sort of a chase game in which the Bad Entities (the Amps) are out to get you, and your only defense is to run away in such a way as to trick them into running into walls. You only have a limited time for each move. When there are only a few Amps left, the rest of them move faster, so watch out. Amps acts like a normal application and supports Multifinder. I have run it on System 6.0.2 & 6.0.4 on Mac Plus, II, and IIcx.
The sound effects in the game are standard 'snd ' resources and are fetched by name (not by resouce ID number). So if you know ResEdit and have some 'snd 's you like, you can replace the sounds supplied with your own.
Version 3.2.1 is similar to version 3.0(B2) but adds some color and sound effects and miscellaneous clean up. Oh yes, you can move by clicking the mouse in the direction (relative to the icon that represents you) you want to go. Moving with the keyboard is more efficient, though, once you get the hang of it. Oh yes, you can move using the keypad keys, or with your own custom set of keys. Sorry, but Amps still doesn't save any of its settings when you quit. Maybe next release, if and when there is one.
Oh yes, Amps is free (but copyrighted), and worth at least that much.
